Full time Ruby on Rails Developer (Social Networking) £30,000 – £40,000

Our client is looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer with at least 2 years of commercial experience.

The job is working in beautiful surroundings full-time and on-site in Maidstone, Kent; within easy commuting distance of London. The successful applicant will be responsible for new feature development and maintenance of the current codebase, along with basic server maintenance.

The right candidate will be a skilled problem solver who is able to see things through the eyes of a potential user. The role also involves gathering user requirements and an element of project management. As sole developer the applicant will be responsible for translating business needs into successful software requirements.

The client currently has access to a designer, so CSS and creation of wireframes / psds are not a necessity, however experience of payment gateways is essential.
