Rails Developer – Manchester

Ruby50 is working with an exciting start-up that has recently completed a successful funding round.

This client is currently working with a number of freelance developers, but now want to take on somebody full-time as the business is moved onto the next level.

Based in central Manchester, you will be reporting directly to the technical director who is an experienced rails developer. Working in fixed sprints, you will be involved in planning and implementing user stories; prior knowledge and experience of agile practices would therefore be a distinct advantage.

Required Skills:

• BDD (Rspec, Cukes or equivilant)
• JavaScript (JQuery)

Desired Skills:

The job will entail solution design, project scoping and planning, agile development methodologies (SCRUM) and architecture development both for new sites and to extend the functionality of the existing websites, and working together with the rest of the development team in code level programming to deploy complete, performance optimized and reliable working solutions.

On top of his/her technical skills, the candidate will lead and mentor other team members, whilst acting as SCRUM Master.
The candidate will be expected to stay up-to-date on current developments in Web, search and Internet oriented software, software development technology and development methodologies. CTO & Senior Developer – London

Our client is looking for both a CTO and Senior developer to lead 5+ developers and manage growth of the application.
