Developer for London Startup

Ruby50 is working with an award winning, technology-focused start-up operating in the property sector.

The job is based in central London and we are looking for somebody who has at least 18 months commercial experience with rails, and some knowledge of server administration.

You will have the opportunity to work on the full stack, and be encouraged to contribute suggestions of how to improve the app.

Day-to day activities will involve maintenance of the app, implementation of new features, and refactoring inefficient parts of the codebase.

Experienced Ruby Contractor – London

Ruby50 are searching for a contract ruby developer with solid commercial experience to work on an existing app to get it production ready.

You should have solid commercial experience in rails and be able to turn up and get on with the job without too much guidance. However, it is important that you ask questions about things that you are unsure.

The app is heavily tested with RSpec and Cucumber, so you should have a good understanding of these tools, along with good fundamentals of Mongo.

This is a great opportunity to work on an enterprise application that handles carbon calculation. The contract will be for an initial 2 months, but may be extended thereafter.

The job will entail solution design, project scoping and planning, agile development methodologies (SCRUM) and architecture development both for new sites and to extend the functionality of the existing websites, and working together with the rest of the development team in code level programming to deploy complete, performance optimized and reliable working solutions.

On top of his/her technical skills, the candidate will lead and mentor other team members, whilst acting as SCRUM Master.
